An Honours Graduate in Colour Chemistry and Paint Technology from the University of West Yorkshire, UK. David has been in the paint industry for close to 35 years undertaking significant professional and vocational education programs in Business, Finance, Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental management, and is highly proficient in application of LEAN management methods.
David has extensive business and manufacturing experience with the leading international paint companies. Initially developing new technologies in the UK and Europe. Followed by stints in Saudi Arabia and India establishing new strategic businesses in developing Marine, Protective, Coil and Powder Coatings markets for International Paint and Akzo Nobel.
Moving back to the UK as COO for Blackfriar-Glixtone decorative paints and Oxonica nanotechnology, before returned to Saudi Arabia with Jotun as Operations and Managing Director for their Decorative Marine Protective and Powder Coatings business. Staying in the Middle East David joining Hempel as Regional Director in 2015 and Immediately prior to joining CAP plc as MD was Country Head for Kansai UAE.
Ayomipo Wey joined Chemical and Allied Products Plc in September 2019 as Company Secretary/Legal Adviser. She holds a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from the Lagos State University, was called to the Nigerian bar in 2008 and obtained a Master of Laws (LLM) (with distinction) from Queen Mary, University of London in 2011. She has extensive legal, company secretarial, compliance and corporate governance experience spanning over twelve (12) years.
Prior to joining the Company, she was the Assistant Group General Counsel of United Capital Plc from June 2015 to August 2019. She had her formative legal years in the prestigious firm of Banwo & Ighodalo where she spent over seven (7) years gathering extensive and invaluable knowledge and experience in the legal aspects of corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions, corporate restructurings, corporate governance and company secretarial practice. She has an uncommon flair for corporate governance principles and practices and constantly advises on compliance with extant laws and regulation on corporate governance. She has attended numerous trainings in Nigeria and offshore including the Harvard Business School’s module on Disruptive Strategy.
Ayomipo is a Member of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators (UK) and the Nigerian Bar Association.
Born on the 3rd of November 1966, Mr. Oluwatosin Opeyemi Afolabi joined CAP Plc on the 19th January 2002 as a Customer Service Executive. He was appointed Ag. Customer Service Manager (Paints) of Lagos/West Region in September 2005 and thereafter promoted into full management in December 2006. He has occupied various management positions including Supply Chain Manager, Customer Service Manager – Key Accounts, Customer Service Manager – Dulux Colour Centres, Customer Service Manager Trade Channel and he has also acted as the Project Manager – CAP Decorators. He is currently the National Customer Sales Manager.
Oluwatosin holds a B.Sc. (Hons.) degree in Biochemistry from Ondo State University now Ekiti State University Ado Ekiti. He has attended several management courses and training locally and internationally.
Gazie holds a BSc. in Mechanical Engineering from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science & Technology, Ghana and CIM Marketing Leadership Programme post graduate qualification from the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM), UK. He is an affiliate member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing and also an alumni of Cambridge Marketing College, UK.
He began his career at Cadbury Ghana as an engineer and after a very brief stint moved to assistant brand manager and brand manager roles. He played major roles in key initiatives such as the re-positioning and rebranding of Cadbury Ghana’s flagship brand Richoco cocoa beverage, the development of Cadbury Hot Chocolate 3-in-1 which drove considerable growth in revenues and various brand, insights & innovation projects.
He moved on to PZ Cussons in 2013 working in various marketing roles in Ghana, Nigeria and UK where he worked as part of the company’s global marketing team developing category & brand strategies for African, European and Asian markets. As Head of Brand Development & Activation at PZ Cussons Ghana, he helped drive Robb Sweets to a leading brand within the candy market. His last role with PZ Cussons was based in Nigeria as Head of Category leading strategy development for dish wash and fabric care categories for the African market before joining UAC of Nigeria Plc. in January 2019 as General Manager, Marketing for paints. Gazie is a big fan of outdoor activities, loves adventure and nature. He also enjoys watching football, listening to music and playing the piano/ keyboard.
Henrietta Okosun holds a Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) degree in Chemical Engineering from the University Of Benin, Benin City, Nigeria. She joined UACN Plc in 2005 as a Management Trainee and has acquired over 10 years functional experience in Sales, Customer Management, Quality Assurance, Quality & Environmental Management Systems, Operations/Production Management and Research & Development. She was appointed as Research & Development Manager until March 2018, when she was appointed the Supply Chain Manager.
She has attended various training and management courses including international exposure with AkzoNobel UK, the foreign Technical Partner of Chemical & Allied Products Plc. She is a Corporate Member of the Nigerian Society of Chemical Engineers (NsChE).
Born on 14th of August 1977, Charles is a graduate of Applied Chemistry. He attended the Usman Danfodiyo University, Sokoto where he obtained his Bachelor’s Degree in 1999.He joined CAP Plc. as a Development Chemist on 5th January, 2005. He has worked in different departments in various capacities within CAP Plc. These include Marketing-Assistant Brand Manager, Technical Operations-Product Development Manager, Customer Service-CSM-Trade Channel and CSM-Specified Project Unit.
He has attended various training and management courses including international exposure with AkzoNobel UK & South Africa, Basic & Advance Leadership Training Organized by Daystar Christian Centre, ISO 9001:2015 QMS auditors’ course organized by Standards Organization of Nigeria, Managerial Leadership in Sales and Marketing organized by Lagos Business School and Certificate in Entrepreneurial Management from Enterprise Development Centre (Pan-Africa University). In March 2018, Charles Michael was appointed Research and Development Manager of CAP Plc.
Born on the 28th of December 1978, Mrs. Adetilewa Akinradewo holds a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Lagos. She joined CAP Plc as a Graduate Trainee in 2006. She has worked in several capacities with experience in Health, Safety and Environment, Process Compliance and Quality Assurance. In February 2013, she was appointed as the Plant Manager; a position she holds till date.
She has attended several management courses and trainings locally and internationally. She is a certified ISO QMS and EMS auditor. She holds a Diploma in Procurement and Supply from the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (CIPS), UK.
